My favorite Lynch film probably won't be mentioned in any obits because it's his least strange. It's appropriately titled, "The Straight Story" and it's about a man who drives his lawnmower a great distance to see his dying brother.

This story by my colleague Ximena Conde about the woman who was walking with her husband when he was hit and killed by a SEPTA bus is gut-wrenching, enraging, and yet, still filled with so much love. Currently sobbing at my keyboard.

They were on a date night when a SEPTA bus driver ran over her husband, killing him. Now his widow is searching for answers.

Always surprised how many folk on social media are unaware that highly visible women online regularly get threatened w/ rape and other violence. Happens to every woman w/ a substantial following I know, has for a decade regardless of platform. And no, authorities don’t care and that’s no solution.

So sad to read. I used to sit at Jason's bar while writing my thesis and drinking a pint. RIP.
