Far right in Newcastle today outside the Newbridge Hotel: “protecting women and children”! How long can we let this go on in the heart of Newcastle? @sutr.bsky.social

Hi @richards7370.bsky.social - this is going to be a tough one. Not least with this. I need official clarification: The Style Council released ‘Introducing’ in 1983 as a mini album comp but many believe their debut album proper is Cafe Bleu (1984). Which one will be accepted? #5debutalbums8084

My first thought for #5debutalbums0004 is this. An artist sadly missed.

I’m guessing that for #5albums50s60s5 Revolver will no doubt walk it. As good an album as it is, for me, this is the tops. Miles Davis - A Kind of Blue. Words like sublime, classic, iconic, masterpiece, don’t do it justice. It’s better than that.

Post a book you love from the 1970s.

I could easily have posted The Periodic Table myself as I love it too, but instead, I will post this one.

Reading this. Superb history book from the superb historian Antony Beevor. Brilliantly maps out the conflict across the globe, whilst focusing in on the detail. Total horror.

Here’s a cert for my #5albums50s60s4. A whole new way of looking at music. And with a Jackson Pollack on the sleeve as well!
