Social workers help in ways that doctors, nurses & other practitioners simply can’t:

• Using legal powers to protect people’s rights

• Advocating for support

• Helping people to tackle social issues that impact mental health: housing, relationships, education & employment

The mental health crisis is real - and we were worried to hear talk about "overdiagnosis" of mental health conditions. We know that the nation's mental health is getting worse, people are feeling lonelier, and over a million people in England are waiting for a mental health service.

That's why we're calling for more mental health social workers. Read more and lend your support to our #SocialWorkMatters campaign bit.ly/4kAlzVy

The difference mental health social workers can make is transformational.

For Harris, the support of his #SocialWorker helped him to manage his long-term mental health condition.

Everyone struggling with their #MentalHealth deserves the support that Harris got, to get well and stay well.
