Retired IT guy. Brummie. Thirst for knowledge remains as strong as ever. Currently enjoying jump racing, buying plastic model kits, slowly gluing plastic model kits together, science, and history.

Servant to 2 cats.
I didn’t worry too much about the weathering when I realised how little can be seen.

Here’s the fuselage sides. I added a bit of gratuitous electrical wire colour hoping it might catch the eye through the canopy.

Now I’ve concluded the internals of the Lancaster with so much PE. Having done a quick dry fit of the fuselage sides it’s clear that you really can’t see much of it once it buckled up, just as all the previous builders of the kit reported 🤪.

Here’s the radio, navigator and pilot areas.

Having spent a ‘little’ time on them here’s the PE versions of the flaps.

I wanted to make them up before I cut out the plastic in case I made a mess of them and then have a bloody great gap in the wings to address. I’m happy enough with these to allow me to hack out the plastic 🤞

Next up on my bench is Hasegawa’s 1/72 Lancaster. This will be quite a new experience in a couple of ways for me in that this will be the 1st time I’ve done a build log and secondly, I tend to build 1/48 aircraft.

Men’s 1/35 M2 Bradley

Possibly the best kit I've built, everything about this oozed class. IMHO

Lots of detail inside and out, so I choose to cut out some of the hull so the goodies on the inside could be seen. Wished I’d bashed it up a bit more but I didn’t want to bugger it up.

I failed to provide enough space under the flight deck which made a small imperfection that I only noticed when I couldn’t get the island to lie perfectly flat!

I’ve attached a photo of one of the LED strip reels, along with the battery and its holder.

Hope this helps. 6/6

Here we have an Airfix 1/24 Spitfire Vb, a Revell 1:48 A10 and a Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk1.

Here’s a couple bikes (Harley Davidson FLH-1200 Electra Glide by Matchbox & Yamaha YZR-M1 from Revell) and a car (Dukes of Hazard by MPC) from the past. These were all quite old model kits and tough to get together. More bullied than finessed.

I do recall enjoying glossing them 😁

Next up is the Trumpeter 1/32 swordfish

Another lovely kit and as a couple of you have noticed it’s seated rather precariously on a shelf that’s just a little too narrow, so a blob of bluetack has been used to stop her wandering groundwards.

Thought it was about time I started to post some of my efforts.

Here’s the USS Iwo Jima in 1:350. Plenty of PE and I tried putting lighting on a model for the 1st time.

Only took me a year to build, yep I really am that slow and yes I’m rubbish at photography 👍
