Yup, these are all reasons why we love Hexham, but especially the Anglo-Saxon crypt. 👍

Oooh, not familiar (will have to research). They will have to be quite something to beat Hexham Abbey scones though. 😁

Alas not, It's run by English Heritage and all their sites along Hadrian's wall (Aydon is close to the wall) were shut. ☹️ Very disappointing.
