Dem Aftyn Behn is polling 2 POINTS behind Matt Van Epps (MAGA loco dude) in a Trump +22 district.

The election is Tuesday.

That should scare the shit out of the GOP. If she wins, all bets are off. The GOP Congress is toast. If you have time to help with phone & text banking, please do.

Those of us with slightly longer memories have seen all this before. Nixon unleashed the FBI and IRS on his enemies; stole an election; engaged in illegal warfare in southeast Asia, leading to the Cambodian genocide; etc. And the current gang are much stupider and less competent than his gang.

🚨NEW: A new poll Americans’ support for Medicare For All has intensified to the point where the old attacks may no longer work.

As both parties legislate criticism of socialism, there has been a 50-point shift on a key question in just 6 years.

This is YUGE.

In December 2024, Van Hollen penned an open letter to Biden and urged him before his term ended to

•Recognize Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital,
•Suspend all offensive military assistance to Israel as the law demands
•Embargo all settler goods from being imported
Opinion | History will judge Biden harshly on Gaza
In the remaining weeks of his presidency, Biden must correct course.

This is a truly terrible article and it shows how the Atlantic, like Vanity Fair, is doing a deep dive into intellectual disgrace. Putting this murderous dimwit on the cover tells you everything you need to know.
Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?

And yes, I do know, that, sadly Obama isn't President of the USA any more.

I think that somewhere along the way something in Stephen Miller got fundamentally damaged. This is neither an excuse nor a mitigating factor; the dude is genuinely fucking evil and he and everything he stands for should be fought against and stopped. But he is something beyond mere sociopathy.
Since Stephen Miller is in the midst of another of his Aryans-only trantrums, we should note that his family are 20th century immigrants from the shtetl of Antopol (Антопаль) then in the Hrodna gubernia of Russia. Applying his immigration rules, they would all have perished in the Holocaust.

If my nephew’s ideas on immigration had been in force a century ago, our family would have been wiped out.
