Initially mis-read this as "Parasitebank" and giggled at the idea of a Soviet bloc country literally naming a bank parasite

Graffiti Bridge is a criminally underrated Prince record!

The movie? Well...let's just not talk about that.

Not exactly the point but I love that you keep referencing a show that you, me, and maybe a couple dozen other people remember.

Crystal Bernard...hello.

I don't know about hiking, but I am an evangelical convert for travel blazers.

They may be "dressy" coded these days, but at root the form is incredibly functional.

Good light jacket weight, breathable fabric, variety of accessible pockets.

Windy? Butt coverage and turn up the collar.

M&C doesn't even have any sock monkeys!

A woefully incomplete movie.

One that I've always wondered about is 2142 S Sawyer.

Currently occupied by a plating company. The facade has "lost some of it's splendor" shall we say, but it looks to me like it wants to tell a story.

Given the history between Byrne and the Daleys?

I feel safe presuming that Richard M knew exactly what he was doing when he named that interchange and only that interchange to "honor" Jane Byrne.

He and his pop weren't exactly above perpetuating petty grudges.

There's a great Fresh Air interview with Al Green where host Teri Gross repeatedly tries to explore grand metaphorical and poetic interpretations of his lyrics.

It's hilarious because Al has to correct her in a diplomatic and FCC friendly way that "No Teri, it's about fucking."

Left town for a month+ for work. Cat stayed home with a feline brother and two human roommates who had lived with him since birth (and loved him!).

Day I got back in town he jumped on my bed, looked straight at me, and took a piss.
