Last wee before bed for her hairy highness & there it is again, a small, bright point throwing the sunlight back like a ping pong ball between my cold dark yard & the warm day on the other side of the world. And my neighbour's lone window sits below like an anchor to steady us against the spinning.

Not the best photo but gotta love that moon. Its so bright irl and the night is sharp and drizzly. Somehow the silvery brightness popping through a momentary gap in the clouds does seem a bit magical.

Found a slug egg in my garden while I was having a tidy up.
They do attack green garden plants but they also make a tasty snack for small creatures and if they survive they really help develop the soil and process detritus.

This pair at Manvers with their cygents. Am curious about how long such big birds need to grow strong enough to migrate.
Like the geese they fly locally to prepare but I have never seen them leave in a flock.

What are the chances 😁 just took this photo. Its the first time I've noticed this reflection of the sunset in my tv screen. And the shadow cast by the plant makes it look like evening on a tropical beach.

Noticed this in the ginnell from the field. Stinging nettle seeds. They're very nutritious and birds and animals love them. After a frost its easy to gather them without being stung.

I spent over £100 on sedative gel, which does work but is running out fast and then found she will come out of hiding and calm down watching dogs playing on YouTube.
Just enough calmer left for bonfire night itself so 🤞this does the trick the rest of the week.

Autumn is here. The geese were practicing takeoffs and landings. Presumably to get this year's offspring ready for their first migration flight.
They do make a right racket and its always wonderful.
Meanwhile pooch snootled about in the grass and splooshed in puddles.

Sheffield's is definitely bigger and more impressive. Which likely means more people died. It does have fabulous views across the city and I recommend it as a spot to visit.
