My opinions are my own
It's a grindy game, so I'm not surprised by the tiers. I'm actually more surprised at how many charms they give in each tier and how not-impossible it feels to hit them, even if it will take half of forever

Any plans on getting long sizes? I suffer from carrying most of my height in my torso, lol. A regular length shirt barely (or sometimes not at all) reaches my waist

Hold rallies, do interviews, etc. Get it in peoples' heads. Spend the time showing where you/they stand, get the views out there and, where applicable, show where you can meet in the middle with those who disagree. Create a head of steam instead of waiting for mid 2026

I want to start by saying I support all of these.

My honest question: How do you fund the site? These horrific UX details actually have a small % of conversion and generate ad revenue. I'm happy to get rid of them but what's the alternative

Though I'm agnostic, I've met a few very respectable preachers, ministers, and priests. They shouldn't be punished because the mega churches, TV evangelicals, and singular abusers of the system are shit biscuits

I'll disagree with a caveat: that we actually start strictly enforcing the rules when broken and remove the exempt status from ones who do.

Amazing!

Grindr. For someone with views on homosexuality like his... It HAS to be grindr

This. Twitter used to be a place where I could get in a good debate, sometimes heated, with people I don't agree with. It was fun and interesting. That doesn't happen anymore. The bots and content generators have made it impossible to have actual back and forth

Some can't accept it. It's true. But comparing now to 2020 is obviously insane.

IMO: It's a razer thin result. Asking for a recount isn't the same as trying to forcefully stop the process. Try 1 state, like WI. If the result sticks, which it probably will, that's it
November 17, 2024 at 10:39 AM
I'll say it's close enough to warrant a recount but it's PROBABLY correct. Just do one in the closet state: Wisconsin. If it doesn't move the needle, just accept that it was a razer thing result

Excuse my American ignorance here... What species of giant Australian bug is that?
November 17, 2024 at 10:27 AM
Exactly. "I'll lower grocery prices". Not in his power but it's a simple message that affects people's immediate concerns.

Way more effective than "Join my seminar on what inflation is and why I can't lower grocery prices"

And what's even more maddening is they don't even have to try so hard at THAT. Dems have been increasingly good at failing in their own messaging for the past 15-20 years
November 17, 2024 at 1:41 AM
Probably right. And it really gets under my skin. With the electoral college being what it is, Dems HAVE to appeal to a good sized portion of right wing and right leaning voters to win the big one.
Reps don't have to do that. They just gotta make sure Dem messaging fails

Never been to WI but, from what I understand, you're supposed to enjoy every second possible outside because winter is always waiting behind a corner, ready to jump out and murder you

I'm not super up on his track record. I'm still in the "spit balling" phase, lol. I know that parts the reach across the country and like those.

AOC staying local makes sense and I think she'd actually have a great shot. But I kind of see her as the face of the future of the D party

Leave my boy John out of this. He's one of those guys that we straight guys acknowledge...you know...on the right occasion....

What? That just me?
November 17, 2024 at 1:23 AM
I don't live in California so I won't pretend I'm SUPER knowledgeable on his full career BUT if the next 4 years are as bad as we think they'll be, 2028 may be the best opportunity for a dream team to step up
November 17, 2024 at 1:01 AM
I'm wondering if Newsom at the top of the ticket with AOC as VP is viable. They both have a track record that appeals heavily to both left and centrist Democrats (who have an overlap with centrist Republicans and Independents)
November 17, 2024 at 1:00 AM
We know it's going to be bad. That being said, I'm excited for the next 4 years. I mean... We've got front row seats to the greatest shit show on earth. Kind of like front row at a Gallagher show except we're the watermelons!
