To echo the UT AAUP, it's fine as a statement of principles, but the real question is what does one do with it. Who gets to decide what is germane to courses? What exactly is indoctrination, and how does the School of Civic Leadership intend to avoid doing it?

Aside from "political" issues, I'm genuinely convinced that administrators like this are also flat out just not going to be good at running complex organizations, where success for the entity (as opposed to the individual) requires a deft political touch, not Executive Brain
