Devastated by siege and war, #Yarmouk Camp is seeing its first waves of return since the fall of the Assad regime. Families come back to rubble, not homes. 🇪🇺 support is essential to Syria’s recovery, and we are proud to support the outstanding efforts of 🇺🇳UNMAS and many others
The enormous destructions and the many landmines and unexploded ammunition across the country kill people, prevent families from returning home, the economy and agriculture to take up. Fruitful exchange with the White Helmets on how to support their work and increase their capacity

Transitional justice was an area discussed with interlocutors, incl. 🇸🇾 Justice Minister Madhhar Al-Wais. We discussed concept and possible 🇪🇺 support via our Foreign Policy Instruments. Good to see now the creation of the long-awaited National Authority for Transitional Justice

Very good meetings with several ministers, civil society, some of our project partners, media, #EU 🇪🇺 diplomats present in #Syria 🇸🇾… Building on the big support packages already in place, discussions went around the economy, media, transitional justice, capacity building etc.

Ten days, lots of flags. Clearly too many on the cemetery in #Lviv for the soldiers who died defending their homeland #Ukraine 🇺🇦. Foreign Ministers from 🇪🇺 and beyond demonstrated solidarity - and launched the international Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.

We used the opportunity to explain a bit, what we in @EU_FPI are doing for 🇪🇺 #ForeignPolicyInAction across the world 🌍. Election observation, mine action, public diplomacy e.g. in Osaka 🇯🇵. Thank you to joint teams with our partners, and the many curious visitors.

With attacks on energy infrastructure, Russia is trying to make Ukraine’s cities go dark. Together with our partners like @undp.org we are working against this. Zaporizhzhia is one of the cities that is receiving support to make sure that lights and power stay on in its homes, schools and hospitals.

With 🇪🇺 support via our Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI), apopo and MAG are training mine dogs in #Ukraine 🇺🇦 and beyond. Dogs 🐕 and their handlers are not afraid of mines. But some people look very sceptical when they are with dogs 🫣.

Long title, clear objectives. The „Ukraine Mine Action Partner Coordination Workshop“ brings together #Ukraine’s 🇺🇦 partners to discuss further cooperation and improvement in demining the country. Land the size of 🇨🇭 has already been released for use.

Good to be back in #Zaporizhzhia 🇺🇦. A stark contrast to my last visit 2020 but even more impressive when it comes to the resilience of the city and its people. With 🇷🇺 constantly targeting critical infrastructure, energy resilience is key to withstand those attacks
