Hey @jaketapper.bsky.social I've got a book idea for you you fucking hack
He spent Biden’s entire presidency calling him ‘Sleepy Joe’. Still does. But this guy nods off in the middle of the day in meetings almost every day. Fell asleep in court all the time too.

I'm convinced that had these two pictures out of one meeting come out of Joe Biden instead of Trump the entire spectrum of political media would have hounded him into resignation before the week was over

The richest man in the world being given a temporary seat in government to personally revoke food and medicine aid resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of the world's most vulnerable people is maybe the most sickening thing in a year of truly sickening things.

One thing complicating the right wing's messaging that it's Democrats that are taking away SNAP is that they're all extremely excited and happy about it

Until there's any penalty for pandering to the absolute dumbest people in our society they're going to keep going farther and farther. So far the GOP has demonstrated that there is no internal limiting factor to how far they're willing to go.

An interesting imbalance is where if Joe Biden had said this there would have been an avalanche of articles and discourse about whether he was losing his mind but when Trump says it, it doesn't generate those articles because they know it's because he's stupid but they also won't write about that

Sometimes it's really easy to see how we got here
Analysis: President Trump signed into law last week a sweeping package of tax cuts and spending cuts. As is his practice, he keeps making false or misleading claims about the law. Democrats, too, exaggerated the impact.

Here is our fact checker roundup.
Analysis | Fact-checking Trump and Democratic claims about tax and spending bill
President Donald Trump falsely claims the ‘biggest tax cuts ever’ while Democrats add in the impact of a Biden-era policy.

The Trump DOJ and FBI have concluded that there is no Epstein “client list” and reiterated that he died by suicide.

This is why you can't make parody of the right anymore. They make it themselves and they gobble that slop up.
Weird that something can be both deranged and boring, both stupid and alarming.

Honestly when I think of "a culture that lies about everything" I think of Silicon Valley techbros and MAGA
This is a partner in Sequoia Capital in Silicon Valley. Unacceptable. Will the company condemn this?

The richest man in the world did this. This is comic book villain shit.
More proof, if proof were needed, that the underlying political beliefs here are based on personality and ego. In the mean time, Musk's smashing of USAID will, by itself, kill millions of the most vulnerable people in the world.

America basically made a scammy yelly TV commercial president and honestly I'm not sure why we're surprised. We should be glad it's not the singing fish tbh.

This is why you have to be principled and make the argument. Their brains are cooked enough to put this on the screen and think it's an own.

If you don't they'll just make up something crazy about you and run with that instead anyway.
The socialist mole that has infiltrated Fox News continues to do extraordinary work.

Elon Musk can never be forgiven for this. Anyone who doesn't write about these people in his obituary someday is a worthless coward.
A man with a scorpion bite.
A woman with cholera.
A diabetic who needed insulin.
A 3-year-old boy.

They all died when the U.S. stopped sending medicine to Sudan.

This kind of stuff is why Republicans basically accused Obama of treason over the original Iran deal

It's just kind of wild that rich people catastrophize like this about slightly higher taxes in the context of Congress currently pushing through a bill that's going to strip millions of people of desperately needed access to medical care and cut their already minimal food budgets
WATCH: “What about the rich? Do they get shot? It’s like they’re making Wall Streeters walk out onto the ice in the East River… class warfare… eat the rich.”

@cnbc.com hosts Joe Kernen & jim cramer hilariously struggle to process Zohran’s win — made inevitable by the greed they exalt.

This is the path to victory for Democrats. Make them put up this list instead of being a 'reasonable centrist' on everything so that instead they just hammer wild stuff they made up about you.

Every Democrat should have a rigorously contested primary, and the DNC and establishment Democrats should get out of the way and let the chips fall. I say this as a person who voted for Hillary over Bernie and has backed the establishment party my whole adult life.

Also ban focus groups.

If your argument for striking Iran could have or was actually made by people trying to start the Iraq and Afghanistan war, you should probably pause for reflection - especially if you've spent the last ten years rightly calling those wars a mistake.

One of the really weird things about this poll and this question generally is that I would think *everyone* "self-censors" at work. It's work. What % of retail and service workers "self-censor" at work, I wonder? Is that "walking on eggshells"? Is that a problem?
