The majority of Poles support the legalization of same sex civil unions, a new poll has found, as the government prepares to submit a bill on civil partnerships by the end of the year.

And today it's the turn of The Times to try and patronise us all.

Every single day the right wing establishment tries to close ranks.

And every day we are growing.

The finale of the great TV comedy show Blackadder goes Forth.
Back then I didn't expect one of the funniest programmes ever to end with a scene that makes me cry every time I see it.
Every single time.

An analysis of BBC news coverage over the last 4 years shows a shameless bias against Vladimir Putin, with BBC reporters insisting on calling the Special Military Operation in Ukraine “an invasion”
We are going to need a non US and EU headquartered social network sharpish
@bsky.app last week my DMs were cut off. Moderation said I could not be trusted.

Hours later, you said it was a mistake.

Then you cut off them off again—but said it was my fault, tho wouldn't explain (before turning them back on.)

Maybe @sarahkendzior.bsky.social's ban is a mistake, too?

The Saudi regime has executed Abdullah al-Derazi, under 18 at the time of his alleged crimes, linked to him attending demonstrations against the regime.

In August, the Saudis had executed Jabal Labbad, also arrested as a minor, in his case for attending demonstrations and funerals.

Amnesty said that the execution of Abdullah was just one of a long line of executions

Anti-Zionism is NOT Antisemitism.

Zionism is not Judaism.

Israel is not the state of the Jews.

Being anti-Zionist and anti-Israeli does not make you anti-Semitic.

Israelis generally know even less about the #WestBank atrocities and de facto annexation committed in their name than the rest of us.

All terrorism legislation needs to be repealed. Its not fit for purpose and has been abused to attack civil liberties and human rights.
"Anti-terrorism" laws were created to oppress, suppress, control & surveil just like apartheid Israel. The "War on Terror" used taxpayer money to murder people in the Middle East, steal resources to further enrich billionaires & create a police state surveillance apparatus over ordinary people.
Is there a more pathetic successful man than Elon Musk? If so I'm all ears
I rejoined X (given I am writing about Musk's Ministry of Truth). It was like the Dentist's Chair but instead of hard booze I was subjected to a fire hose of mindless manufactured far right bile in the X curated feed (mostly aimed at the BBC). Christ, who can survive that without going mad?

Elon Musk doesn't read literature, he inhales it.
The drug-addled pseud strikes again: "Grok is the only AI that is laser focused on the truth"

Grok has generated praise for Adolf Hitler, support for Putin and has referred to itself as "MechaHitler". A direct consequence of algorithmic bias and Musk's fragile febrile grasp of facts & truth
From Iain M Banks:
"But what if someone kills someone else?"
"They're slap-droned"
"Ah! This sounds more like it. What does the drone do?"
"Follows you around and makes sure you never do it again."
"Is that all?"
"What more do you want? Social death... you don't get invited to too
many parties"

I am an AI optimist (long term) but an army of MechaHitler Grok powered robots is definitely not what anyone wants. Musk will have ingested I, Robot (in his usual drug fueled frenzy) and decided the ethical takeaway is to build the demon mecha-slave army.

Hello @support.bsky.team

I heard from Sarah Kendzior @sarahkendzior.bsky.social that her account was suspended.

Can you please look into this and reinstate her account? She’s a published author and scholar on authoritarianism. Her presence here is valuable.
