World-weary at that age?

Sounds about right these days.

This resonates with me.

Signed. It's a crazy situation.

Me too.

I'm wondering if there are rules that would prevent me donating some jars to the church fayre 🤣

Too long below 13C and they stop developing, as I understand.

The chutney is delicious.
October 10, 2025 at 4:23 PM
Sounds good. At our place, it would make a pleasant change from green tomatoes chutney!

Are you still expecting the Marmonde whoppers to ripen outside?

I'm close to giving up and attempting fried green tomatoes.
October 10, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Lovely. What are you making?

Today was the first day to return home without tomatoes. Plenty of green ones still clinging to the plants. If no Indian summer, they'll be chutney soon!

I have to admire your range of preservation methods!

Let's hope not!

I'm still eating the delicious green tomato chutney from last year's rain and blight.

The recent news will have devastating consequences for millions. Are you supposed to rejoice because you may sell a few more books as a consequence? Sounds like a calculation Trump might make. Not you.

Yup, unforgivably guilty of being working class, gobby, successful and a woman.
September 5, 2025 at 5:06 PM
Yes, the flavour is good, but it is the colour that is distinctive.

My Black Cherry toms from Lithuanian seeds are so productive. Really worth the effort
