If you're thinking of picking up a copy of The Odyssey, I highly recommend the version translated by Emily Wilson.

For me, it was Animal Farm. It unlocked something in my 12yo brain—that books were meant to be more than merely a good story.

One of my favorite films from 2023, and totally went under the radar, is the movie "Jules". It was excellent, understated yet humorous in unexpected ways.
