My fave Sabbath album. My earliest memory of Sabbath is being terrified and transfixed listening to the crackling vinyl playing 'Hand of Doom' from 'Paranoid' one September afternoon in Grade 7, high on hash oil at JB's dimly-lit apartment. Thanks, John Darnielle. @themountaingoats.bsky.social

A very special essay out with @grantamag.bsky.social. It’s about worship, China, patterns, food deliveries, burials, divinations, gorges, moths, padded bras, and silk worms. To see how it all connects, please give this a read — and share if you enjoyed it 🙏

We are heart-broken to have had to say goodbye to our love, Molly. She had many nicknames: Mollywog, Lil' Bruiser, Lil' Owl. She has gone to be with the love of her life, Boo, who moved on some years ago. Rest in peace, Molly. We miss you so much and love you forever.

One evening in late June 1984, I sat alone inside the Seville Theatre on St. Catherine Street in downtown Montreal and watched my first David Lynch film: Eraserhead (1977).
Rest in peace.
