It's marshmallow, coated in chocolate and coconut. Very squishy! Very tasty.

I've seen them hunting pink feet a couple of times. Even saw one strike a goose hard, but fail to knock it out the sky once. Maybe this goose was exhausted and weakened after migrating?

Is the neck bar not just hidden at this angle? It does look a little darker than average, but not spotted enough for green or wood. Head markings fit juv common. No other tringa fits. Flight view probably needed to confirm 100%.

Did you see it fly, Neil? Any wing bars? My feeling is that it's probably a juvenile common sand.
