I've been in despair about this antireligous crusade for so long I hardly have anything left to say about it. I can't imagine how alienating it feels for the people directly affected.

It not only costs money but takes a remarkable toll on the people who do it. Just monitoring newsroom inboxes is a disgusting ordeal these days. It's not worth it.

A large majority of people working in most of the newsrooms I worked in agreed with you all the way back in the day, but we were overruled by our bosses who were listening to a handful of innovators who should have been figuring our Craig's List instead.
