I can understand the draw, I usually play games solo when I'm on my own. It's more of the streaming side of things, when I'm alone, it's boring and quiet, but when I can play off of other people, I can be funny. Well, funnier anyway.

I've wanted to stream game stuff again, but like.... it's a whole thing. Even just finding people who can reliably stream with is tricky.

Maybe give their cat trees a dry-"shampoo" vaccuum(they're basically tiny foam bits that you scrub into the 'carpet' then vacuum up). Or put a fresh towel fresh from the dryer on their sitting spots. :)

I have a running theory that cats don't like the smell of their own body odor. Rather than being "I must put my smell on everything", it's "I don't like it if something smells too much like me.".

By the way, another example of this is the overly pious christian. Posts Bible verses every day, always in church, always volunteering at the bake sale and posting about it on their social media page, always talking about how they live a godly life, but always the most terrible people you ever met.

Again, the point isn't "The virtue signaling is bad because the right thing is bad", the point is "The loud proclamation of one's own virtue is often a smokescreen for far more heinous activities or one's willingness to overlook what's Wrong in favor of LOOKING virtuous".

The same senator released a lengthy praise of Obama for taking out Bin Laden under similar conditions.

The point of calling out "Virtue Signaling" was never about shutting down right and wrong, it was about shutting down people who loudly decry what's wrong but only ever do so to draw attention to themselves and never to the matter they claim to be against.

Sometime in the last year, if I recall. I remember there being a joke in there about China being whole again but then breaking again, with the joke being that it was normalboots instead.

There is heroism in bringing art into such a place of fear. Giving even the smallest bit of comfort to those around you like that. I dare say that is precisely the energy that is needed in a time like that. Play music, sing, dance, bring games, bring coffee, bring joy. Never let them take it.
