Everyday we write on the board who is absent. It shows the students that when they are not here,we miss them.That we hope they come and join us soon.Today for the 1st time, my kids wrote it themselves - see🇩🇰 picture.They get it.They own it. They notice when we are all together and when we are not.

Very grateful for husband with a 3D printer because I needed these Danish letters for literacy stations. Not surprised that my store bought kits didn’t have them.

I’ve been spending a few minutes this week scribbling out positive things we have noticed in each of our students. Next week, the post its will be placed on their desks as they come in. It’s a quick and easy way to recognize the growth every child has and how much good they bring to our classroom.
