Sounds like Paris in the 1780s. Wonder how that turned out?

Post a fictional character who you think would be an antivaxxer.

Hard mode: No villains

The good news is I have a TERRIFIC idea for an updated production if They’re Playing Our Song. The bad news is I’ve had it for 20 years. Anyone wanna take a chance on an unknown director with a VISION? 🙃

Relistening to the Curtains obc. Is it perfect Kander & Ebb? No, but it has grown on me so much over the years and I really do love it. Also I still want to be Debra Monk when I grow up.

Tonight’s Feature: Ninotchka. Ernst Lubitsch directs, Garbo laughs, and the Soviet Union will never be the same!

Tonight’s Ticket: Gypsy, dir. George C. Wolfe. Audra McDonald continues to be a force of nature. Danny Burstein broke my heart. Joy Woods is a star. I LOVED Wolfe’s take on the show. Congratulations to all involved.

Tonight’s Feature: The Thin Man (1934), W.S. Van Dyke. William Powell & Myrna Loy are everything I always wanted to be. It’s been a minute since I’ve seen it and it’s brand new to The Guy (as most movies are) and luckily he’s super into it too.

Tonight’s Feature: The Ten Commandments (1956), Cecil B. DeMille. Baxter and De Carlo switch roles against type (❤️). Brynner looks great. I especially love the moment Moses descends the mountain as the love child of Kennys Rogers and Loggins with a blowout and fresh Botox.

Morning movie: The Magnificent Ambersons. 1942, Orson Welles. A wealthy Midwestern family must face changing times at the turn of the 20th century. Can’t believe I’ve not seen it until now!

Tonight’s Feature: Destry Rides Again. 1939, George Marshall. Jimmy Stewart is the deputy without a gun. Marlene Dietrich is the unscrupulous saloon broad. The Wild West will never be the same. A delightful comedy western classic.

Relistening to the Seesaw obcr. Is it a perfect show? Lord no. Is it even a good show? Debatable. Do I love the album as a fun afternoon bop? Always. It also reminds me how much I loved being around Michelle Lee when she was playing Madam Morrible.

Tonight’s Feature: Meet Me In St. Louis. 1944, Vincente Minnelli. Judy Garland, Margaret O’Brian, and a cast of characters. The Trolley Song, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, The Boy Next Door. The ultimate comfort watch (good because The Guy has a cold.)

Tonight’s Feature: To Have And Have Not. 1944, Howard Hawks. Bogart & Bacall’s first pairing (and romance was born). A spiritual successor to Casablanca in some ways. Definitely a slow burn but a damn good movie

Last night’s movie: Isn’t She Great. Bette Midler, Nathan Lane, David Hyde Pierce, Stockard Channing, John Cleese, Amanda Peet. The loose biopic of the life of Jackie Susann that I’ve always said would work better as a stage musical. A total comfort movie for me
