We know what keeps us safe. We need parks, libraries, schools, and jobs. Not black box AI that makes our lives worse while making billionaires richer.

The stakes are high. The people have a vision. The mayor has to hear us. Councilmembers are on alert; we have to make sure they keep pushing back.

AI is accelerating every day into every aspect of our lives. City Council has the power to ban the most harmful uses of AI in city systems, prohibit the expansion of toxic data centers, and ensure high-stakes decisions that impact YOU aren’t left to an algorithm.

Where bureaucracy failed, the people stepped up. Over 100 people packed PhillyCAM with a clear message: Oversight is way overdue, and WE are the experts.

The city’s top tech heads had nothing – no clarity about how life-or-death City departments use, or regulate AI in city systems, or how they protect our privacy and stop bias. They couldn’t even say whether the Parker admin will share our data and collaborate with ICE on deportations.

Multiple councilmembers asked about whether the Parker administration would commit to preventing ICE and access to data from public safety tools powered by "AI".
