Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol made $95 million last year. His workers are striking for the bare minimum. Glad to be on the right side of the picket line with them.

Delicious reporting on the Mamdani/Trump summit from @nytimes.com:

"...[A]sked by a reporter if Mr. #Trump was a #fascist. Mr. #Mamdani smiled awkwardly, and the president advised him to just say yes

“That’s OK,” Mr. Trump said. “You can just say yes. That’s easier. It’s easier than explaining.”

Yes!!!!
Beyond the marquee races Democrats elected their first district attorney in Bucks County, Pa., since the 1800s, took control of 28 Connecticut towns from the GOP and won their biggest majority in the New Jersey legislature since the Watergate era.

Democrats swept elections far beyond the big races in referendum on Trump
Beyond the big governors and New York mayor contests, Democrats on Tuesday flipped city councils, school boards and county commissions.

Yesterday at the farmer’s market I saw a vendor quietly give food to someone whose EBT (SNAP) card didn’t have enough money on it.

People helping people because the president and his administration refuse to.

Even when court-ordered.

Here's the thing re: our system of gov't.

The president isn't above other branches.
He doesn't "own" the gov't or the nation.

Our constitutional system of checks & balances is to insure 1 person can't drag the nation to ruin

We the People get to weigh in thru Congress.

Except now. When we don't.

I was briefed on the intelligence last week.

Iran posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States. Iran was not close to building a deliverable nuclear weapon. The negotiations Israel scuttled with their strikes held the potential for success.

Spoke up.

#PopeFrances's #funeral reminded me of a talk he had w/ #JDVance in which the latter told the Pope that some, but not all #immigrants should be allowed to enter a country, presumably meaning the US

At which point Frances corrected him, saying:

"ALL OF THEM"
