I have a new story out, in the November issue of Lolwe. And it’s my first work there. It’s titled Oil and Water. Like the title indicates, it’s about the oil rich but impoverished Niger Delta region and its natural resource that’s inspired massacres, insurgencies and so much else.

Speaking of honours, the publisher made a list of award nominations the Arc Manor family had garnered. This incredible house with so many greats. And it turns out, if you add the 2025 BSFA longlist, I've contributed exactly 30% of their total award haul since inception

Turns out I'm in the top 30 highest ranked SFF anthology editors of all time. With mostly small press & self published anthologies. All from, in this poverty capital of the world. In a mere 5 years

Turns out I've sold tens of thousands of books in the last couple years. Small press & self published, mostly. That's hundreds of thousands of dollars, like half a billion naira. Would make the top 10 highest grossing Nollywood directors list. & "Books don't sell". Anthologies too 💀
& from Nigeria.

The 1st ever @locusmag.bsky.social award to be won by an African born person. Since 1971, a mere 54 years. 🤭
This just arrived, 2 years after I won. This, the 2nd one of these being sent almost got lost too. Had to go do a search & rescue. It's one thing to win, recieve the award & survive winning
