Taiwan Vice President Bi-Khim Hsiao (@bikhim) welcomes a delegation of permanent representatives to United Nations from Taiwan's allies.

Would love to see 🇦🇺 Strikemasters in 🇹🇼 Taiwanese hands. A perfect instrument for defence of the strait and thus a powerful deterrence against invasion.

hope we get the Upgraded Mogami rather than the OG Mogami. We need the extra VLS cells!

Also would be a great geopolitical signal to the world that we see Japan as a close military ally - and hopefully open up to more defence cooperation in the future (GCAP fighters and Upgraded Type 12 SSM)

This Insta post by Taiwan VP Bi-Khim Hsiao highlights her visit to Meichu Experimental School. The school is unique in combining general and special education, providing resources and training opportunities for students, including those with disabilities.

❤️ The amazing country of Taiwan!

I hope Taiwan looks into self propelled sea mines like the Hammerhead mine.

I do think that the NSM and the 🇦🇺 Thales Strikemaster pairing would make an excellent coastal defence capability for 🇹🇼Taiwan though.

Keen to see that export option offered to Taiwan.

The NSM is a highly capable missile and as an Australian I am glad we are producing them.

I only feel like for Australia it's a tad short range. We need a stealthy missile out to Tomahawk ranges, imo. Maybe the 🇯🇵 Upgraded Type 12 missile would fit the bill.. 1/2

During Memorial Day 11/11, I had a poke through the Australian War Memorial archives to find some photos of the ROC (Taiwan) Flag flying next to the Australian Flag during WWII. We have fought beside each other before.

Here's to stronger Taiwan-Australia ties going forward. How about a FTA?

People are too quick to dismiss the F-35B for Taiwan. Its STOVL capability will enable Taiwanese airpower to be resilient against destruction of airfields.

If equipped with LRASMs it would be able to unleash hell on shipping.

Cheaper than the F-16V that Taiwan has ($100m vs $120m).

Taiwan to push for CPTPP at APEC!

As an Australian, I fully support Taiwan's inclusion in the CPTPP. No, "support" isn't strong enough - I "YEARN" for Taiwan's inclusion in the CPTPP.

They should have been there from the start! They meet the high bar set by the CPTPP!
