Today I learnt: the power of the dull catchlight as a precursor/enhancement to the bright catchlight. Pencil for scale. I will be darkening the pupil with Lunar Black before adding the bright catchlight. This one was made using Buff Titanium, an unexpected power house of my watercolour collection.

I wish the figure drawing studio would change up the lighting.
The overhead fluorescent lighting makes bad shadows.
And it’s at night so there’s nothing coming in through the skylights.
That’s my only complaint.
