Why is it that Congress continues to lump together legislation that clearly is in no way connected? Burying a clause in the new Big Beautiful Bill that ties SCOTUS hands in charging contempt is the latest example.

Pope Francis spent his entire life in the service of humankind There could not be a phot of greater contrast than this, a charlatan with no understanding of what it is to serve and regard for the needy. This man’s quest for power knows no bounds.

Republican Senator Tim Scott sponsors legislation that favors banks over consumers. Rules passed by the Federal Consumer Protection Bureau limited overdraft fees to $5 and treat the overdraft as a loan, requiring truth in lending laws. The tail is wagging the dogs again.

I keep hearing “it will make US made products stronger. We do not live in a bubble anymore. This is an example of a US manufacturing company, Boeing. US auto “makers” also build their cars from foreign-made parts. These tariffs will affect EVERYTHING.

The bill to disapprove banking reporting regulations (in place to discourage money laundering) has passed the House . It specifically applies to digital currency reporting. Trump made an “executive suggestion” and this is Congress jumping on the “rip off Americans using crypto” train. Choo Choo

RFK, Jr has hired “vaccines cause autism” theorist David Geier-whose theories have been repeatedly debunked to the point where he has lost his medical credentials-to head up research into whether vaccines cause autism. Where is Elon when you need him? #governmentwaste #governmentfraud

I love being retired. I wear what I want. I just bought a new t-shirt! It work well with my others-“WOKE: It’s not the insult you think it is” and “When you are accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression”. My fave is still “Your first mistake was assuming I was just an old lady”.

This bill, HR 1534, introduced by Max Miller (R-OH) required the DOE to research low-emission concrete and asphalt. Does this really belong with the Dept of Energy? Wouldn’t it make more sense with… say the National Highway Administration?

Another bill introduced today by Frank Lucas (R-OK), HR 1326 requires the DOE and the DOA to collaborate on research in specific areas that don’t seem to align with either agency. They would require “reimbursable research agreements”. Does that mean the research only gets paid for if it succeeds?

HR 1325 introduced today by Frank Lucas (R-OK) among other things, this bill cuts the amount of time the NOAA has to process any applications for privately owned satellites. First you gut the agency, then you want them to process applications in half the time?

Interesting visualization of our country’s religious nature. We’re 63% Christian but I wonder how many who identify as “Christian” are non-practicing. Either way, this shows Christians are barely a majority, and we certainly should not be making laws based on that doctrine.

This passed Congress today, removing oceanic protections put in place by BOEM. It allows energy companies the ability to drill without checking for archeological issues.

Another Trumpublican proposal. Let’s formally object to the EPA standards regarding rubber tire plants…who needs clean air?
