Today thanks to @time42ndbreakfast.bsky.social I learned of the existence of the, 39th New York Infantry Regiment, the Garibaldi Guard. Imagine being at Gettysburg, and seeing a full column of Bersaglieri emerge from a cloud of smoke and do a bayonet charge!

I wasn't able to articulate this 20 years ago, but this has always been a problem: most other labors are immune to revolver cannon shots, because heavy vehicles are immune to pistol fire. But we are speaking of sub-10 ton vehicles taking 37mm cannon fire from less than 10 meters.

Like, this stuff aired the same year The Package was in theaters. Also, in Italian, that movie's title was "Uccidete la Colomba Bianca" (Kill the White Dove!) #Patlabor

Kaiju No. 8 is the first series I've ever seen that admits that Tokyo is as big as Belgium, and if two things happen in different parts of the city, it takes quite a while to get from one side of town to another.

I had forgotten how difficult was a Trinity knot.
Yes: that is a stitch: it is a vintage handmade Italian necktie.
