Delightfully quirky human fueled on books, crochet, and an ever-growingist of hobbies. I attempt to teach teenage humans to be smart, curious, and kind— one caffeinated day at a time.
Okay, so follow up 12 hours later: cheddar pickle sourdough is DELISH. Check out that crumb. #sourdough

A lot of stress means a lot of journaling time. Need some mindless relaxation that feels productive? Draw circles. For hours. No thoughts, just circle vibes. 😂 #artjournal #junkjournal

Teaching the French Revolution at this point in time is real, real weird. I'm wearing my guillotine earrings to talk about the Terror today, and it felt surreal when a student said they saw one of those things on a protest sign. #teachingin2025 #historyteacher #thesigns

@johngreensbluesky.bsky.social I've just finished the book Everything is Tuberculosis. Hauntingly beautiful book. This book connects disease to colonialism, fashion, genetics, race, and the horrorific decay into illness. Stunning look at how disease ripples through big and small places of history.

One must mention the tarsier. Among the oldest living primates. Each eyeball is the size of its brain. Sticky little fingers and heads that rotate in a "call an exorcist" kinda way. This little mammal has SEEN some stuff.

In an effort to fulfill requests for more cats in feeds, may I humbly add another picture of my Lady Cassandra, the defeater of plastic bags and lover of sharp cheddar cheese?

You haven't lived until you draw a cow on the whiteboard while discussing methane emissions in AP Environmental Science. Why, you ask? Because the teenage students in the room will roast tf out of your cow while simultaneously saying how good you draw dogs.

Hey, so let me introduce you to my cat. You can find her curled up with her weird naked toe beans in the nearest fuzzy blanket.

Meet Lady Cassandra, aka Casselini, aka Cassrole, aka Serotonin Skin Sack aka...

Yes, we named her after the skin on wheels character in Doctor Who. 💙
