A friend is a member of an ELCA church and a secret group of people inside the church are trying to take it over for the (homophobic bigoted) NALC. I suspect that this is happening to more than one ELCA church, so if you know anything about this, will you message me?

It's always important to follow On The Media's excellent guidance but especially in the midst of horrifying events that are all too given to misinformation.

One of my deeply-held beliefs is that anyone anywhere is allowed to complain about the weather, even if it's totally typical of where you are.
I'm irked that it's super-cold in the Midwest but I'm in MA right now and it's almost a blazing 20°F. January is supposed to be cold!

1. It's the first audiobook I ever made it through!
2. Barbra is very funny. I laughed through the whole thing, and cried more than I thought I would.

A friend of mine just got divorced from a bully, and it's been legal for about a month, and the difference in her is astounding. She's lighthearted and funny and clever again, instead of anxious and careful and small like she's been for the past decade, at least.

I've been listening to @barbrastreisand.bsky.social 's memoir for months now (when I'm in the car by myself) and I wanted to be done by tomorrow, but I just realized that I don't want it to be over. This is the first book I've ever been able to listen to instead of read with my eyes.
