I'll admit I've not seen much of it, but out of genuine interest, is a significant portion of South Park dedicated to showing one of our main characters suffering from the effects of sexual abuse, with it being shown in entire seriousness and meant to be recieved emotionally by the audience?

Incredibly edgy jokes like these have their place and time, and I flat out do not think it is in the same show as a main character suffering from sexual abuse we are intended to take very, very seriously. This is why Helluva Boss' arguable SA joke bothers me less, due to lacking that plotline.

Yeah, my issue with it isn't a belief that he was actually harmed but that it made light of his fear of being so, when we just prior delved into Angel Dust's own trauma and the terror of being victim to something like that. It's absolute tonal whiplash to then play it for laughs.
