I found street cats in Spain to be remarkably healthy looking and gorgeous. But then again, I met a fair number of their human neighbors bringing them yummy scraps.

Congrats! I went to grad school there and found an stellar cohort and outstanding faculty. Corvallis is a gem of a college town. And a bonus! Yachats, on the coast, is not far. You will do great. In my experience both as an older student and a higher Ed professional, returning students are stars.

Sabrina and I spent Christmas in New Orleans, and I was reminded of how much I love their style of hot sauce (among many other things). I was doing carry-on only so couldn't bring any back, but I got this one online. It's a classic.

Whenever my husband and I would look at homes to buy (we moved across country a few times), I'd make a beeline for the bookshelves to see if I could hang with the sellers. He used to try to steer me to actually look at the house. "You know, we're not going to become friends with them..."
