As provided by the British Museum for artefacts,British Library for archive sources..I'm not sure how renowned the IWM are for either of those, maybe they're more a "retail" than "research" museum

IWMs are the UK's flagship wartime museums,in terms of visitors, even if their curation can let them down (eg Lambeth as this shows, also closing VC exhibition.Folks go to Duxford for planes!)
I'd judge curation by correctness,balance,breadth/context but not depth (=academic)

IWM Duxford is awesome though, if you like aircraft porn (as many blokes do!)
My late Great Aunt's late/decorated husband is on the wall there, at a Drumhead ceremony in London soon after the 1918 Armistice (3rd from left)
Do let me know if you have any public lectures cooking, esp. in UK😀

PS do you find it a bit strange how we label this prestigious museum as "Imperial", or just amusingly British?

Auto-verified as a new user/login, I could then log our medals but sent a question before paying.
£1 is not a problem. But lack of response IS (to a civil query about storing card details).NOT paid so not tweeted, unlike say x.com/Medal_Locato...

Any reports about "Medal Locator CIC"? They post plenty on X, but I can find no success reports (which I'd have thought they'd rightly trumpet!)
I messaged after fluffing my search payment, but no reply whatsoever: email,X or SMS. Rude🤔

I will do all that. A long shot but any progress I'll repost here.

Any thoughts about where to post my enquiry/plea, e.g. best forums or medal dealer trade bodies?
