In retaliation than they already are? Ukraine quite simply has nothing to lose. And as we know that India is already quietly buying Russian crude with an additional $5 discount per barrel - its such a bargain they cant resist it - fewer tankers means fewer exports for anyone to take advantage of.

I really hope so, but what state will the world be in when this is over? It's a wake-up call for the EU. The relationship will never be what it was before, less dependent on the US.

Discussion to my opinion is not that easy, despite I would prefer to support Ukraine massively. I expect Russia Will only be threatend with this, but other ways will/need to be followed.

Euroclear recently warned that the use of frozen assets could be seen as outright confiscation and could harm the European investment climate. If, this the case it may harm Ukraine support over time as Well.
