In Jim’s noble struggle waged during a fearful time that mirrors our own, I find both comfort & inspiration. His life stands as an empowering example to guide humanity’s search for an answer to the enduring question:

Very happy to have @atomicanalyst.bsky.social praise my memoir: "Atomic Pilgrim is a remarkable and deeply personal account of perseverance and self-discovery, intertwining the story of Thomas's extraordinary 20-month, 6,700 mile-long religious walk for peace and global nuclear disarmament...

"Atomic Pilgrim is an inspiring reminder of the many paths opened by courageous people of faith leading to a more peaceful world. Now with a renewed nuclear arms race, Atomic Pilgrim challenges us all to be prophets testifying to the truth." ~ Prof Massimo Faggioli

If you do order, you will be among the first to receive a copy when my book is published on July 16 — the 80th anniversary of the first atomic explosion, the Trinity test which was depicted in the movie Oppenheimer. It marked the first use of plutonium produced at Hanford.

Dec 2 is 75th anniversary of largest radiation release from Hanford Pu factory. Thousands drank contaminated milk because no warnings were issued. Green Run released 11,000 curies of I-131. The very existence of the release was classified for 4 decades.

Re: #President #Biden and his run for a 2nd term, it's much more than one bad night on the debate stage. Each voter should ask how would Mr. #Biden handle a real crisis - would his mind be clear enough when he's asked to launch #nuclear #weapons?

What was it like to walk across U.S. and 9 other countries? What did I learn through 25 years of advocating for #downwinders?

Excellent graph from @armscontrolnow.bsky.social illustrates relatively small cost of expanding #RECA given overall cost of US #nuclear weapons. Justice demands such compensation to innocent people exposed to radioactive fallout. #House must pass before June 7.

79 years ago Hanford's T Plant began secretly releasing radioactive iodine. The radiation was ingested by cows and unsuspecting children drank the milk. Those poisoned didn't find out until it was too late.
