I used Claude.ai to recommend a Tom Waits album. Waits is one of those artists that I've always wanted to get into, but I've been overwhelmed by his discography. Claude asked me what kind of music I liked (strong songwriting, don't mind experimental), then it made a suggestion - and it was spot on.

When I was that age, I spent hours making my own radio plays with a dual cassette recorder. Maybe that’s why I always begin editing with sound before picture...

I was hooked for the first 30 mins—so tense! But then... Hugh Grant made a long-winded point about religion using a Monopoly analogy. He followed it up with the same point, but with a Hollies song. By the time he was doing a bad Jar Jar Binks impression, all the tension was gone. #Heretic

Took my son to ‘Transformers One’ to escape the heat. I wasn’t expecting much, but started noticing it was actually… good? Well-written even. The most surprising transformation? Me, into a blubbering mess by the end.

As a documentary editor, I'm always searching for ways to find dramatic structure in real-life stories. Recently, a screenwriting friend recommended Laurie H. Hutzler's Character Map, and it's been a total game changer for my current project!

"Video Clip Name" uses the first video clip to name the multicam, but shows underlying clip names in the Timeline. "Audio Clip Name" and "Custom" display the multicam name instead. Once set, this behavior is permanent.
