It's cloudy here tonight but when we had a storm this strong last spring, we could see it with the naked eye, but the colors showed up much better on camera. Weaker storms would just give a slight green or pink cast to the sky and you could only see columns and such via camera.

I hate it for adding fiddly detail like faces and stuff where the tiniest shift in placement can give a totally different look. But I don't mind it for outlining or more straightforward details like bird feet or something.

Oh there are lots of mistakes in there. Some of them I worked around and some I frogged and re-stitched. This piece took me about 3 months. It's not large - just a ton of detail crammed in a small pattern.
