I've been interested in Intuitive Eating for several years now and do my best to apply the principles. What's crazy is how it became a fad a few years ago to invoke the concept in the context of dieting. Which doesn't really make much sense when the first principal is to "Reject the diet mentality"

If I had a dollar for every time a person says they don't pay for public transport because it's not good enough, I would give it to the public transport operators so they could improve their service. Just like they could if those people actually paid!

I'm seriously considering leaving Facebook for good. All of my fun Star Trek discussion forums have turned into whinefests. This week, people are whining about how bad a movie nobody has seen yet will be. The pervasive, unchecked homophobia is also getting me down...

Same! I can actually get something productive done on a train or tram. Nothing better than a clear inbox when you arrive at the office
The older I get, the less I like parking my ass in a car seat and staying in it from door to door. I’d much rather chill on a train or bus and walk or grab a bike-share between stops. That way daily exercise, fresh air, and social connection is built right into the trip.

While they are still terribly car dependent, I think Australian suburbs are laid out a bit better than those in the US. I was looking at some satellite pics and noticed lots of footpaths (sidewalks) with places to cut through so it doesn't take hours to walk to the next block
