Final edit/draft of DEAD BUT DREAMING OF ELECTRIC SHEEP turned in and accepted. 16k words/40ish pages lighter and meaner. I’m damned proud of this one. Can’t wait for you all to read it next summer. I await copyedits and meetings about the funky design/typography the book requires. I gotta be me.

Last night’s NIN show was amazing. Even though I didn’t make it into the band because I’m too goofy, it was a genuine pleasure meeting Atticus Ross, Trent Reznor, Jonathan Pavesi, John Crawford in the flesh. Unbelievably gracious and kind hosts. My ears are still ringing and face is still smiling.

Last night’s NIN show was amazing. Even though I didn’t make it into the band because I’m too goofy, it was a genuine pleasure meeting Atticus Ross, Trent Reznor, Jonathan Pavesi, John Crawford in the flesh. Unbelievably gracious and kind hosts. My ears are still ringing and face is still smiling.

I had great plans to rampage the theater as Leatherface but I threw out my back so I was more like grandpa (but without the finger sucking). @johnlangan.bsky.social loved it!

I read THE STAND when I was 22 and if the me from now told the me from then that this book would be a thing I would’ve accused now-me of being drunk and old. Then I would’ve asked now-me to tell me more about 2025 and, well, yeah.

The world is awful right now but sharing some good personal news. ANOTHER made the NYT Bestselling Middle Grade list. Holy crow! (Can’t swear in a middle-grade post). Thank you readers and booksellers and librarians. You all are the best. I ate a burrito from the local taqueria to celebrate!
