who creates the lively art and music scenes if the rent is too high? who makes cultural life? who serves you food or washes your dishes? who creates the fancy little restaurants that draw you to urban living? affordable housing is at the heart of what makes city life worthwhile.

As of October 20, a total of 273 people have been killed on Massachusetts roads this year alone, including forty pedestrians and seven cyclists. These deaths are preventable, and we will not accept any loss of life on our roads.

If there's one thing I loved about being in a No Kings protest today, it was the feeling of solidarity giving me hope for this nation and its people.

If there's a second thing, it's how all the various dogs had NO idea what was going on, but LOVED it.

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

(15 in Manhattan btw)
There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.

If you write bad code that fucks shit up you're a "genius". If you write high quality code that fixes problems and insist on that from other people you're a "bitch" who "isn't a team player" and "lacks relatability"
this cultural tendency to lionize dudes who can write bad code truly does piss me off more than just about anything else
Little shithead 4channers that just happen to be good at computers getting labeled as "genius" makes me seethe.
