Lovely bit of DX on the FM band just now - my first Polish stations logged, and all because FMlist told me there was an opening to the East and North East, so I rotated my Yagi to point that way!

That's really cool to see. On a related note, I still wonder at the origin of this one-sided (acetate? Lacquer? it's heavy) record I picked up years ago - I'm assuming a test pressing from the studio but I've never been able to figure out who it was for or why or how many there might be out there.

And today a poorly little bear has altered our plans and means I am stuck on the sofa - but at least there's a decent stage of the Tour de France about to begin on ITV4...!

My 14-month old daughter can turn on my Quansheng handheld transceiver (and does so with glee, making a little squeak when she sees the screen backlight come on), so I've bought the family a set of Baofeng PMR walkie talkies to mess around with.

Today's TdF stage making me reminisce about our bike ride around the region in 2019 - including covering most of today's stage over the course of two days and a night spent in pleasant Villers-Bocage (the site of today's intermediate sprint).

Favourite discovery which isn't really DX at a hair under 200km distant in Belgium is Klara, "Serious Classical", playing some haunting stuff by Merope featuring Shahzad Ismaily. Great signal.
