I love this so much. It roughly translates to "The ISS astronauts, who have an actual job to do, are currently ASLEEP - will you nerds please stop bothering them and trying to ask them to reboot your silly little Raspberry Pi amateur radio experiment. They will get to it when they can. Thank you."

Nigerian export strength Guinness at my local supermarket. Worth a go? (Feel like this might be one for @andrewbowden.me.uk ?)

Looked up the scans of my NZ diary from January 2002 for something completely unrelated and was pleased to discover that I was very much on my bullshit already way back then. #linux #linuxmagazine

This is a big milestone for the PebbleOS software development. Gonna fully charge it today and see where we get to. (It's been a solid 3-4 days between charges so far so this should be a big jump!) #pebble #rebble

I am sorry for the mince pies
That you made
That had a best before of fucking mid October
And which you were probably hoping
Would not need to be reduced
Because you didn't sell nearly as many as you expected
Please try harder in future

Tiny ghost child staring at me from the wrong side of the tube thanks to a Peaky Blinders poster 😱

I know it's already a meme, but last two days I've had my own example of AI answering a call from an AI

I finally wrote up a little post that mentions my first OIRT band reception I was lucky enough to get while visiting Cyprus this summer, amongst other things

I don't even care about this all that much but this has got me SO grumpy! What is this? Why does it look like a new NOW compilation? Since when is it "MIZ"? Their own website is lesmis.com - it's right there on the poster!

I'm so confuuuuused!!

Occasionally an NTS host will just drop Needle in the Hay into their set and it is DEVASTATING 😭

Lovely bit of DX on the FM band just now - my first Polish stations logged, and all because FMlist told me there was an opening to the East and North East, so I rotated my Yagi to point that way!

Sometimes the yagi in your loft just happens to be pointing the right way - getting Italians and (a first for me) Tunisians! #fmdx #dx #dxing

That's really cool to see. On a related note, I still wonder at the origin of this one-sided (acetate? Lacquer? it's heavy) record I picked up years ago - I'm assuming a test pressing from the studio but I've never been able to figure out who it was for or why or how many there might be out there.

And today a poorly little bear has altered our plans and means I am stuck on the sofa - but at least there's a decent stage of the Tour de France about to begin on ITV4...!

Channels 1-12: PMR channels 1-12.
13: F5ZTP - a French repeater I can sometimes hear and open
14: 70cm calling frequency
15: GB7ZE - local repeater
16: scans all channels in memory

Looking forward to testing this out! They're so small and light. And there's two of them!

I had a quick squiz in Morrisons today and it was cute to find omelettes like those seen in the video above!

My 14-month old daughter can turn on my Quansheng handheld transceiver (and does so with glee, making a little squeak when she sees the screen backlight come on), so I've bought the family a set of Baofeng PMR walkie talkies to mess around with.

Today's TdF stage making me reminisce about our bike ride around the region in 2019 - including covering most of today's stage over the course of two days and a night spent in pleasant Villers-Bocage (the site of today's intermediate sprint).

Favourite discovery which isn't really DX at a hair under 200km distant in Belgium is Klara, "Serious Classical", playing some haunting stuff by Merope featuring Shahzad Ismaily. Great signal.

Cheeky little opening to the south and some of my first Spanish logs, I think? #fm #fmdx #dxing #dx #radio
