Yet so many people are unaware of or disengaged from what is happening in our world. The greed is appalling, the rich have more wealth than they can ever use and still want more. But for lots of Aussies it’s BAU, can’t be bothered paying attention.
Speaking to a friend yesterday, not a wild radical, just a calm, smart thinker.
They said they regard a process of orderly improvement to Australian government, finance, and social systems as impossible from here because of the entrenched greed and corruption, and that it must instead be rebellion.

Agree! In Australia it is great to eat outdoors when the weather is good. On a recent trip to Europe that was not an option do to the number of smokers/vapers in the eating area. Very disappointing.
Dear European public health colleagues - as an Australian I’m staggered by the numbers of smokers and vapers in Europe. What is going on? They’re everywhere. I haven’t come across a single outdoor eating area that’s not full of nicotine. Please explain.

Where has the Australian Labor Party gone? I see very little of what they were.
Approving coal and gas expansions was not what anyone could call "action on climate change".
Supporting Israel as they commit genocide of Palestinians is unexpected.
