Cool! Now let's see the AUMF and those Epstein files.

Trump is underwater by almost 40 points (!) on Epstein.

I knew Gerry Ford. I was his driver when he came back to Michigan to campaign in his successful 1966 reelection bid. The only thing President Ford, one of the most honorable men I've known, has in common with Vice President Vance is that they are both known to walk bipedally.

I imagine that most people today, even most Boomers, never had the experience of living and working under Nixon's wage and price controls, where how much you could be paid was subject to the decisions of the Cost of Living Council. I did and it has always colored my views about governments having

Freeways look simple, but they’re brutal for Level 4 autonomy: high kinetic energy, low reaction time, and huge consequences for errors. Waymo offering autonomous rides on freeways is the first of its kind and a big milestone for the industry.

I've said for some time that Epstein's sex trafficking & pedophelia were only a sideline to his main business, which was selling information to whoever was willing to pay. The sex was just for his & his friends' perverted enjoyment & to obtain kompromat on others including Trump. I still think that.

The Financial Times is closer than most in getting it right.

Who has created the potential for kinetic conflict around Taiwan? Beijing. Whose diplomats frequently break decorum on the issue? Beijing's. Which side broke with tradition upon Takaichi's election? ...

*Beijing has agency.*

I think this is why Trump is talking about doing a campaign-style tour around the country:
1. He craves the adulation of his crowds,
2. He gets to boast about doing all the things he hasn't had anything to do with, and
3. He gets to tell everyone that their lying eyes are lying to them.

I'm no psychologist, but I've read that narcissists often feel alone. Trump has been described as a malignant narcissist, the worst kind of narcissist, scoring high on scales of the "dark triad", narcissism, psychopathy, and Machiavellism, so I asked Google Search about it. Here's what it said.

Attempting to read the tea leaves, @stevevladeck.bsky.social has a good explanation of the latest SCOTUS machinations in the SNAP case.

Jeffrey Epstein on Donald Trump: "He feels alone and is nuts!!! I told everyone from day one. Evil beyond belief. Mad, and most thought I was speaking metaphorically. It's obvious he could crack. Stormy Daniels? Lies after lies after lies."

Happy President Trump is working on these deals, but:

• The rare earth plant was announced in 2023 and is now in full operation.
• The Boeing plant was announced in December 2024, when Sleepy Joe Biden was president.

We all know that all the President is working on is corruption and his golf game.

I can't believe I'm in substantial agreement with Vivec, but here we are. I only have 2 criticisms.
1. I'm in favor of cutting the property tax, but let's go the rest of the way and eliminate it completely. Same for sales tax. Increase the income tax to compensate.
4. We all know what the

What's one of the things you do when you get behind on your car payments?

If your answer was "trade in my car on a newer model", you wouldn't be wrong.

Thomas Sowell once said that poor people are poor because they make poor decisions. This seems likely to be a good example.

Kash Patel got yelled at for taking the FBI's private jet to watch his girlfriend sing at a low-rent wrestling match, so he fired a career agent who oversees the response to child abductions and hostage taking.

This is guaranteed to happen as soon as Democrats retake the House.

Then Republicans in the Senate will once again show how willing they are to support pedophilia.

Here's the real kicker, though: It's one thing to 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥; it's quite another to 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥. It's here that the educational difference really shows. People who are more educated tend to stay married today; the percentage of well-educated people remaining married has been consistent for years.
