In which I accept that my phone camera lens is now scratched beyond any reasonable use, and that Blackheath fireworks were worth the money after all. Very well organised event, good job everyone!

For no particular reason, I'm reminded of this photo I took a few years back. It got posted on the official royal Insta. "She's visiting her brother!" was a common comment...

No, I'm not going to wait and reconsider. You should have offered me a _mere_ 17% increase first time round. Bend yourselves, Fucking Spoons

The freelancer's dream cafe: good coffee, lots of power sockets, excellent wifi. And nobody wants to be seen dead here.

Hmmm. This is old, but probably not much changed. A possible example of the thing I wrote about recently in relation to identity: designing from a view of comfortable compliance, not the actual reality?

I take a daring look back at my Asia-pooper. He's not taking his eyes off me. But at least he's not waving the gun by this point.

There's a guy with a gun pointing at me. He is very clear that I will not be walking to Asia. He eyes me suspiciously. I go back to Europe. Turns out he's the guy who intercepts jumpers, and it's a motorway, bit like Dartford. One does not simply walk into Asia. (Took this pic before I saw the law)
