Been a very strange week, started off chilled and relaxed in the wilds of Donegal, then an unexpected dash back home, followed by waiting and sitting with family and friends, then this morning saying goodbye to my Mother In Law. Elaine, you will be so missed and I'll raise a glass to you tonight.

I'm sitting under an apple tree which has been here since before WW1. It's sister tree fell over last summer, though it's roots have sprouted new shoots. I do wonder will it be around in 2145. Who knows.

My Mum & Dad used to look at old pictures (we have a lot of photo albums) & I, in my Kevin the Teenager phase, would sigh "That's ancinet history" or some such. Daughter 2 has just popped up on my phone "19 years ago today". Bloody Hell. I AM ancient.
