I have had an X-Card (and an Open Table) at an unrecorded convention game. In one, the player tapped and chose to walk away from the session. In another, I tapped the card, as the GM, and asked for a break. Weird as it may seem, I stepped over my own threshold, needed a moment, and then came back.

Hell's teeth, I need to catalogue my collection. I'll add Christopher Marlowe: Poet & Spy by Park Honan to your reading pile.

Ooo. I'd love to hear more about that, though I lack the contacts to make the series happen (if I had them, I would have already pitched The Dee Sanction as a series 🤣).

Many have said, but I thought that you might appreciate pictures.

My experiences with RPG publishers vary. I've had some who stay in touch, managing the project with check-ins and clear gateways to hit, as well as a delivery deadline. Others have been looser in their approach, offering a deadline and nothing more. I prefer a bit more contact, but folk vary.

Re. Cthulhu Hack. Nice!

Re. Cthulhu Dark. It's fundamentally different. I would agree it's probably easier to run on the fly.

The basic notion of running horror well in an hour is divorced from system.

Can you handle something like the Pacman suit? Flavian of Hatchette Games (in action photo attached) cuts a stylish figure at events. You know where he's coming from and what he's promoting.

There's got to be something suitable, off the peg, in waistcoat form.

If you can go to RPG Geek and a search offers no results, that system essentially doesn't exist.

Mind you, I can't find either of those on Kickstarter, so maybe the narrator is not so reliable 🤣

I have occasional contact from people confused why they haven't received rewards years after the majority of backers, simply because they have never paid shipping and completed the process—these are the folk asking for updates after everything has been done and dusted.

And the date being wrong on the back of the original softcover edition was due to the switch from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar.

🤣

I agree. There's nothing much I dread more than the "end of the month nudge" email from Kickstarter.

"Someone wants an Update"! Oh... do they want it instead of me spending an hour writing?

The lids are plastic, so the microwaves should just ricochet around inside and off of the containers as they normally would.
November 8, 2025 at 1:42 PM
It is safe to put some metal containers in the microwave. The arcing business applies to only certain shapes and forms. Theoretically a bowled stainless steel container will be fine. I'm just not going to be the test pilot...

It's a bit early for blowing up Parliament, but it's worth a try 😂

Oi... The Dee Sanction isn't enough? 🫣 Just you wait until I next see you at a con 🤪

Zig and Zag would take Strictly to another level.
