Don’t park in the bike lane, don’t slow-roll your car at me when I’m crossing the street

Ask me about HK3RS
We may be owed an explanation, but we’re not going to get one

This is like one of those “what comes next” puzzlers

Are the new hospital and Lansdowne 2.0 fated to have the same timely completion issues as the LRT and Ādisōke?

One other thought - there’s a chance that some of the most dangerous spots (for cyclists) will suffer from under-reporting because we stopped riding there because of the *constant* threats to our lives

Kinda like the so-called “bike lane” on IPD … that in more than a few places narrows to the point of pointlessness

Pish-posh

You ought to know by now that a day without a driver going wrong way on an #Autowa city street is like a day without orange juice … you know the rest 😉

DM me when you’ve reached the point where you’re ready to have a look at video clips

Average - Laurier westbound from QED ramp to Percy (mid day)
- traffic infractions (red light running, illegal RToR, failing to yield to traffic infractions bike lane, failing to yield to pedestrians in crosswalk, parked in bike lane) usually 5 or 6
- threats to personal safety usually 2

Don’t forget to make allowances for video reports - many cyclists (myself included) have cameras mounted

OTOH, the feds *could* attach significant strings to their $$$

Would I contribute data? Of course … but the reporting mechanism needs to be simple to access/use

One of the reasons I’ve given up on reporting “parking in a bike lane” is because the city’s reporting mechanism is so very user-unfriendly

I used to lock the worst offenders’ plate numbers, location and time in my memory and then report to the police after my ride, but that’s proven to be a pointless activity

Personally, a stronger definition of “attempts on your life” may be needed. Does a driver who starts a manoeuvre that would result in injury to me - but then stops abruptly thus sparing me - count? I still have the trauma of getting the ever-loving shit scared out of me but the driver self-absolves.

I’ve got a loonie that says that at least 25% of the units in those towers will wind up as Air B&B’s

The 🤡s that design this sort of shit should be forced to make their ten year old children ride it every day for a month

It was all pre-arranged and the votes were already secured weeks ago … the fix was in

Shurley not cannabis legalization 🤣

As noted by another poster, there’s no way the resources necessary to hit this quick a start weren’t already arranged well in advance of the vote approving the project

IOW … the fix was in

A large speed bump - co-located with the stop line - would help … but it’d have to be a serious one (like the ones they build in Mexico), not the wimp-ass things the city claims to be speed bumps
