Lakelands are shaped like Airedales, but much smaller, in a wider range of colors. My crew have all ranged from 15 to 20 pounds, 17 is ideal per our standard. Here's my boy Haiku at about 4 weeks. Only survivor from his litter so I made him "siblings" out of soft socks stuffed with raw rice.

Merry Early Christmas from the congressman that (R) gerrymandering stuck me with! (I live in an overwhelmingly progressive, university neighborhood. My little blue sliver of a neighborhood got lumped with rural areas 2 counties away from Nashville.)

89% of Tennessee's congressional districts dominated by Republicans. The Rs could run Caligula's horse and he'd still win (cf Andy Ogles.) Meanwhile the state went 65/34 for Trump over Harris. Photo is the Christmas card of my congressman, Andy Ogles. Nashville's old 5th district is GONE.

This is Haiku and his "littermates." He was the only survivor from his litter, so I filled fluffy socks with uncooked rice so he'd have something to snuggle with.

Here's what extreme gerrymandering looks like. TN's solidly (D) former 5th District used to be Nashville + a chunk of a nearby rural county. So our state legislature blasted us out of existence. Our son lives 7 miles from us & he's in the 6th, which stretches 160 miles to the NE. We're in 5th.
