It's a fact that healthcare associated infections aren’t rare. They’re systemic. When underreported, we don’t just miss data, we miss warning signs. Every outbreak ignored is a life endangered. Transparency isn’t optional. It’s the backbone of public health.

Not mild. Can we stop disabling kids please?
Even 2 years after infection, around 40% of young people are still experiencing significant fatigue — indicating a major long-term health issue affecting a substantial proportion of youth who have had COVID-19.

How ludicrous for Labor to cut $5 billion in public services during a cost of living crisis. Every six months the government pays around $5b in Fuel Tax Credits to mining corporations to burn fossil fuels. If Labor is going to cut spending, cut handouts to fossil fuel barons.

Influenza cases in SA have continued to rise after that report, up to 128/day or ~900/week.

I expect this is a second wave driven by the new influenza variant clade K, which has kicked off early waves in Japan, the UK and elsewhere. This year's vaccine is a poor match.
