Intro (I guess?) - Part one.
Hi! Hard to write intros when in liminal state, but here we go. I’m a Nikkei-Peruvian archaeologist. Have been studying Andean empires (Wari, Inca) for a while, and the Cajamarca polity/region for the last decade. Colonialism, failure, resilience - all that.

An excavated stone drainage channel that has had a terracotta channel added to it. The channel likely didn't work initially, so the channel was added to correct the error.

Many of us are really feeling helpless. This feeling is why I started @skypeascientist.bsky.social 8 years ago. We were doing the exact same thing then (currently feels worse?).

I have an action you can take today. Tell an educator about our program. Connect kids with science in spite of all this.
